you really think he was the creator of hip hop or the founder??? Him alone, and that it was not a part of a larger culture movement bigger than any one person?

Do you have any information otherwise? I have heard other accounts with other great djs such as Grandmaster Flowers, Disco King Mario but mainly just concerning what they were playing, and still needs more cross references of what went down. The information that keeps being told by multiple people kind of always points back to Kool Herc.

Why does there need to be a petition to have a Hip Hop History Month? Whose permission does anyone need to create that? Since when has Hip Hop ever asked permission?

"Although November has been celebrated and established as HIP HOP HISTORY month for 34-Plus years, by the Afrika Bambaataa and the Universal Zulu Nation, and some educational, media, and other entities, it has not received the nation-wide, nor world-wide, consistent PUSH it deserves. "

that was in the link...

What does that even mean?

If it has been celebrated for 34+ years by people, then it already exists. What group is needed to OK the "month" in order for it to be considered legit? Why isn't it legit already if people are doing it?

That petition seems pointless to me, and, actually, very un-Hip Hop.
